Will This Bible Translation Bring Millennials Back to Church?

Apparently some millennials failed to read the Word of God because it wasn’t in a language they understood—until now.

Behold, the Bible Emoji, or Scripture 4 Millenials. The book will be available for download May 29.

The creator, known only as 8-), told The Memo the emojis allow users to access their feelings in conjunction with Scripture.

“Emojis are emotional, and allow people to express feelings in a visual way within the structure of ‘normal’, written language,” 😎 said. “What’s made them so successful, is that they’re language-agnostic—they allow you to convey an idea to anyone, regardless of what language they speak.”

😎 tweeted a few samples. There’s even an option to translate your favorite Bible verse.

😎 continued: “A major goal of this whole process was to take a book that I think is very non-approachable to lay readers and try to make it more approachable by removing a lot of its density.”

Well then.
