Pastor Jim Kibler says long prayers aren’t always the best. Sometimes short prayers are the way to go.
On the “Receiving From God” podcast, Kibler says even Jesus warned His followers about long prayers. Kibler recalls a prayer one man gave from the stage one day. Kibler recalls feeling so impressed with the man’s drawn-out prayer and his many words.
But then Kibler discovered this same man lived in “the middle of nowhere” with his wife and eight kids. Not only were they broke, but they were often sick too.
“This guy was such a great pray-er, but he wasn’t getting any results,” Kibler says. “How many of you know that prayer is all about getting results? Everything, to me, is results.”
