Why Do Christians Think They’re Exempt From the Great Tribulation?

While pretribulation rapture subscribers are quick to quote 1 Thessalonians 5:9 to say believers are exempt from the Great Tribulation, Michael Snyder says they aren’t reading all the verse has to say.  

“This verse is not talking about the last days, but it’s saying we’re not going to hell because we are going to heaven. We’re not condemned, because we’ve been redeemed,” Snyder says on the Jim Bakker Show.  

But if Bible readers would flip back just a few chapters, they’d discover what we are appointed to.
