Pat Robertson is under fire for answering a viewer question about the death of her baby. The viewer wrote to the 700 Club with this heart-breaking question: Why did God allow my baby to die?
Robertson first explained the difference between the Old Testament and New Testament understanding of God, then went on to explain the human factor in these equations. But Robertson’s next comments about Adolph Hitler and serial killers raised some eyebrows—and drew some ire.
“As far as God’s concerned, he knows the end from the beginning and he sees a little baby and that little baby could grow up to be Adolf Hitler, he could grow up to be Joseph Stalin, he could grow up to be some serial killer—or he could grow up to die of a hideous disease,” Robertson said. “God sees all that. For that life to be terminated as a baby, he’s going to be with God forever in heaven. So, that isn’t a bad thing.”
