“The Chosen” has continued to take the world by storm as it tells the narrative of the gospel story with a focus on the disciples’ journey of how they may have seen and interacted with Jesus. Now, the show has released the teaser trailer for the upcoming season 5.

The previous season ended right before the Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem riding on the colt of a donkey on Palm Sunday. In the just-released teaser trailer we see the heart-wrenching story of Jesus and the disciples during Holy Week.
The trailer opens up with Jesus and the disciples at the Last Supper.
“Listen carefully,” Jonathan Roumie, the actor who plays Jesus says. “Because I’m going to tell you what is about to happen.”
Clips of Jesus at the temple getting ready to flip the tables, his Palm Sunday entrance and Judas going to the Pharisees to betray Jesus are all highlighted in the teaser.
The struggles of Jesus, his mother Mary, Thomas, Simon the Zealot and Mary Magdalene are also key in the preview.
“The hour is coming,” Roumie concludes in the trailer.
This teaser clip comes after Dallas Jenkins, creator of “The Chosen,” announced the release date of the new season on an Oct. 27 livestream.
“It is coming to you early April 2025,” Jenkins announced.
This new season is coming to audiences right in time for Resurrection Sunday on April 20, 2025.
