From Judas admitting that he’s seen a lot to believe that Jesus is likely the Messiah, but is still deciding to walk away from Him, to Jesus’ righteous anger in the temple where he flipped the tables, “The Chosen” is diving in deep to portray the hardest week in all of history.
“My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you make it a den of thieves,” Jesus says before flipping the money changers’ table in the temple.
The heated debates among the Pharisees over Jesus as the Messiah, His triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, clashes with Roman guards, the disciples gathering in the Upper Room before their final meal with Him and the sorrow of His female followers all paint a poignant picture of the agonizing week leading up to the crucifixion.
