Based on the Old Testament book of the Bible, The Book of Ruth is a story of love, endurance and redemption. It is told from Ruth’s perspective as she makes a life-changing decision after her husband dies. She follows her mother-in-law, Naomi, back to Israel and to Naomi’s people.
In Bethlehem, Ruth meets and marries Boaz, a descendant of the royal house of Jadah. As Ruth’s story unfolds, viewers will understand how seemingly unrelated events set the stage for Israel’s future kings and ultimately prepared the way for the promised Messiah.
