We the people have given the Republican Party a mandate. And when lawmakers return to Washington they do so with orders to stop President Obama’s radical agenda.
It’s about restoring traditional American values. It’s about cutting taxes. It’s about securing our borders and backing our allies.
It’s about understanding the difference between workplace violence and acts of terrorism. It’s about never leaving an American behind.
That’s why we gave the Republicans control of the Senate. That’s why we gave the Republicans so many governorships.
The message is clear—it’s time to undo President Obama’s fundamental transformation of our nation.
Today is indeed a good day.
That being said—there is one more matter with which to attend. I want to make you a promise.
I am not beholden to the Republican Party. And should they fail to deliver on their commitment to the American people, I will hold them accountable.
So let’s roll up our sleeves and get to work restoring the greatest nation in the history of mankind.
