President-elect Donald Trump selected Spirit-filled Pastor Darrell Scott as a member of the Republican’s transition team.
“My sincere thanks to President Elect Trump for selecting me to be part of his Transition Team Executive Committee. #MAGA” Scott tweeted Wednesday.
Scott, the senior pastor of New Spirit Revival Center in Ohio, has long been a Trump supporter, even when his community turned against him.
“People call me an Uncle Tom; they question my motives. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I believe Donald Trump is what’s best for the black community. I have met him, and he is authentic,” Scott said.
Scott continued to stand in the gap for Trump. Media have attributed some of Trump’s success in the black community to Scott’s efforts.
Now, it appears Trump is rewarding the pastor with a position on his transition team.
