When Vicki Yohe’s mother passed away only two weeks after being diagnosed with cancer in 2007, Yohe knew it wasn’t the right time to get back into the studio and release another CD. Her mother’s death and other personal experiences have drawn Yohe closer to God. After a four-year recording hiatus, the singer releases Reveal Your Glory this week.
Recorded live at Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral in Atlanta, the 11-track CD is a combination of dramatic praise and worship ballads that characterize Yohe’s soulful style.
The upbeat sounds of “The Lord Is Good,” ” I Will Sing Praises” and “God That Sees” speak to the goodness and power of God, while worshipful tracks such as “One Moment,” “Your Breakthrough” and the riveting “Medley” call for intimacy with the Father. Other ear-catching cuts include “Continually” and “I’m Not Asking for Anything.”
Listeners drawn to Yohe’s previous projects will consider Reveal Your Glory worth the wait. But it’s her timeless, signature song “Because of Who You Are” that will no doubt draw them into meaningful worship with Jesus.
