Rev. Franklin Graham is calling the nation to pause and pray, warning that America is facing a profound spiritual crisis that cannot be ignored. In a recent social media post, Graham urged Americans to unite in a nationwide moment of prayer and repentance on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 12:00 noon, saying the path forward begins with humility before God.
If you think our nation is in trouble now, just wait… As our streets boil over with hate, anger, crime, drugs, and just sheer hopelessness, is there something we can do? You bet there is.

I would like to call for a time of prayer and repentance this Wednesday, January 14, at…
“If you think our nation is in trouble now, just wait,” Graham wrote. He pointed to growing unrest and despair across the country, adding, “As our streets boil over with hate, anger, crime, drugs, and just sheer hopelessness, is there something we can do? You bet there is.” Graham said the answer is not found in politics or protests, but in turning back to God.
Graham said the nation has increasingly abandoned its spiritual foundation, writing, “As a nation, our sins are so great. We have increasingly turned our backs on God and His commands, embracing godless secularism. We need to ask His forgiveness and seek His face.” He urged Americans to intercede for those in authority and for peace in communities across the country, saying, “Pray for our leaders, and pray that God would bring calm to our streets.”

He also warned that there are forces working to deepen division and chaos. “There are many who would like to stir things up—there are even those who would like to destroy this great country,” Graham wrote, calling on believers to pray “that these efforts would be thwarted and their plans would be brought into confusion.” He emphasized the role of the Church in this moment, asking God to “use His Church to be His instruments of peace in this time of great uncertainty.”
Graham stressed the power of collective prayer, reminding Americans, “Remember, this Wednesday at noon, please stop and pray. Millions of people remembering our sins and asking for forgiveness, repenting, and seeking His face will make a difference.” He closed with a call to humility and gratitude, urging the nation to “humble ourselves” and “give God the glory for this great nation and thank Him for His hand of blessing, protection, and mercy.”
As division, violence and uncertainty continue to grip the country, Rev. Graham’s message is both urgent and hopeful. Let us all join with Rev. Graham this Wednesday at noon, wherever we are, to pray together for repentance, healing and renewal, and to seek God’s mercy and peace for our nation.
