The disease, Charcot-Marie-Tooth, is a genetic condition which affects both the ability to walk and to balance well.
As the report noted, Jackson said, “Most of my fans know I have a degenerative health condition that affects my legs and arms and my mobility that I got from my daddy and it’s getting worse…So it makes me uncomfortable on stage, and I just have a hard time…”
Jackson has publicly declared his faith in Jesus for years, releasing a gospel record called “Precious Memories” back in 2006. He later released Volume II of the album with songs such as “Amazing Grace” and “There is Power in the Blood.”
Now as he embarks on this final musical chapter, Jackson will host “Last Call: One More For the Road — The Finale” on June 27, 2026 in Nashville. Singers such as Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood and Lee Ann Womack will join him for this fantastic farewell.
