The Pope is sounding less like the head of the Catholic Church and more like a dreamer.
In a video shared to social media, Pope Leo discussed what life would be like without wars.
“Would you imagine what a world without wars would be like?” Leo states. “A world without the terror of approaching explosions? Without rocket alarms shattering the silence of the night?”
He then asked people to join in during this month to pray for “disarmament and peace.”

While we as Christians do want and should want peace, there is also a biblical truth here that the pope is missing out on: Scripture tells us that wars and rumors of wars will escalate as we draw close to the return of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Himself warned in Matthew 24:6 (MEV), “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled, for all these things must happen, but the end is not yet.”
Rather than being surprised by the turmoil around us, believers are called to recognize the signs of the times and remain steady in faith, knowing that God’s prophetic timeline is unfolding exactly as He declared.

Scripture reminds us that while the world may seek solutions through human efforts, true and lasting peace will only come through the return of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. Until that day, Christians are called to remain watchful, grounded in God’s Word and faithful in shining the light of Christ in a world that is increasingly searching for hope.
