Wake up, church!
Perhaps it really is the responsibility of the church to steward the government around us?
Do you know who is running for office in your city and state?
Do they speak for your Christian values?
Anytime God’s people were oppressed, God would raise up men and women of faith to take a stand. Can you imagine Moses saying, “Well, I don’t really think I should be involved in government, God”?
It matters who is in authority. Not everyone has to be an activist, but everyone has to be active. We are, by our action or inaction, molding our children’s future. If the Christians ever woke up and realized the power that they have, in almost every election, they could have control of who gets elected, if they would show up to the polls.
Guest SaLeena Bishop is a Christian, conservative Millennial who went from pastor’s wife to activist. In this episode, SaLeena shares her “woke” story and how she thought she would be one of thousands of pro-life people at the voting of Ohio’s Heartbeat Bill. But few were found. As she saw the hate and hurt in the eyes of people who wanted the right to kill babies, she said to herself, “We can do better. As a church, as a body.”
From that point on, SaLeena was going to try to use whatever influence she had to inspire women, empowering them to stand for righteousness even if it meant going undercover at the “Nasty Women’s March” in D.C.
Because of her experience of “waking up” to the importance of politics, SaLeena created a conservative Youtube Vlog called Let’s Do Laundry. She aspires to fight the liberal agenda further by starting a 501(c)(4) to help qualified Christian candidates get elected into office.
