To answer this question, there are two things we can look at…
1. Scripture
2. Recent Events
Cause and Effect in Scripture
First, there is a cause and effect principle written throughout the Word of God.
Take, for example, Deuteronomy 28. God outlines the consequences for both obedience and disobedience.
The principle of sowing and reaping is key to understanding kingdom principles.
– We reap what we sow (Gal. 6:7-9).
– If we don’t understand the parable of the sower, we won’t understand any of the parables (Mark 4:13).
The point I’m making is this: The seeds we sow — be it the words we speak, the policies we come into agreement with and what we put our time and finances into — must align with God’s Word if we want a harvest.
As the nations of this world continue down a path of rebellion and turn from God’s ways, it is critical that the body of Christ stand firm in the Word. When we stand by His Word, He releases supernatural protection and provision upon our families, homes and the places where our feet tread.
Something else we must understand is just how much the principle of cause and effect relates to the United States and the nation of Israel.
Zechariah 2:8-9 (NKJV) says:
“For thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. For surely I will shake My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for the servants. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me.'”
In other words, Yeshua, the Messiah, was sent to the nations. And the Lord is judging the nations on how they interact, treat and deal with Israel, the apple of His eye. The biblical cause and effect is: If a nation touches Israel’s borders, they poke God in the eye, provoking Him to shake His hand against them. The Word clearly tells us that there are negative consequences for the nations that come against Israel.
Cause and Effect in Recent Events
At the end of August 2021, which marked the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Ida hit land.
Katrina hit 8 days after the United States pressured former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to evacuate Jewish families from the Gaza Strip under a disengagement plan in southern Israel in 2005.
On August 27, 2021, President Biden and Prime Minister Naftali Bennet met. It is known that Biden endorses a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. As Bennet was flying from the United States back to Israel, Hurricane Ida hits.
There are a several natural disasters, illnesses and economic downfalls that occur after the United States interacts with Israel in a way contrary to God’s instruction.
For us today, let us take this as a warning but also heed the instruction. We can personally pray, stand and sow into Israel, releasing the supernatural protection of the Lord in our own lives. {eoa}
