Last week, the Hyatt Hotels Corporation issued a statement declaring that it would no longer host “hate groups” after a well-coordinated, Soros-funded smear campaign was launched by groups such as the Muslim Advocates, MoveOn.org, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the discredited Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), targeting the hotel chain for hosting ACT for America’s national conference at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel.
By taking this stance, the Hyatt Hotels Corporation has become complicit with the radical left’s attack on freedom of expression, ACT for America says. By accepting the SPLC’s definition of a “hate group,” Hyatt is telling millions of Americans they are no longer welcome at its hotels.
Had Hyatt done its research, the company would have found that the Southern Poverty Law Center has raised millions of dollars from attacking regular conservative organizations like the Family Research Council, PragerU, Turning Point USA, Alliance Defending Freedom and the American Conservative Union, along dozens of others.
Hyatt’s decision to ban “hate groups,” in reality, is a decision to ban all freedom-loving, flag-waving conservative Americans from the hotel chain. While ACT for America has come to expect this from left-wing radicals, it certainly did not expect a prominent American hotel chain to weaponize its brand and influence against the conservative voice.
“The First Amendment wasn’t created to protect just leftist speech, it was created to protect all speech,” said ACT for America founder and author Brigitte Gabriel. “We hope Hyatt Hotels will reverse its decision and demonstrate that it values the democratic freedoms on which our nation was founded instead of falling prey to the fascist tactics of the left. We will continue to fight for the freedom of speech of all Americans, and it is shameful the Hyatt Hotels Corporation will not be joining us in this fight.”
ACT for America is the nation’s largest grassroots national security organization founded by Gabriel, a Lebanese-American immigrant. The group currently has over 1 million members and has helped pass 100 bills on the state and federal level—all while maintaining relationships with dozens of sitting members of Congress. Gabriel’s new book, Rise: In Defense of Judeo-Christian Values and Freedom, was released Sept. 11 and arms readers with real data and compelling facts that will equip them to fight the efforts of America’s enemies to undermine the nation at every level of society. Gabriel’s third book—and first in a decade—also motivates readers to unite with other patriots who wish to preserve America’s endangered Judeo-Christian values and freedom.
In Rise, Gabriel sends her most hard-hitting, explosive message yet. It’s not only a warning but also a rallying cry to unite Americans of all backgrounds in a fight for the survival of the nation, the protection of the Judeo-Christian values upon which it was built, and the preservation of the freedoms on which future generations depend.
Rise is published by FrontLine, an imprint of Charisma House, which has published 14 New York Times bestsellers.
