Steve Martin is back as the goofy French police inspector Jacques Clouseau. When a thief known as “The Tornado” steals France’s beloved pink panther diamond, a dream team of detectives is assembled to take on the case. Somehow, Clouseau is made team leader. Although he repeatedly misses obvious clues other detectives easily see, he still manages to stumble on the truth—or maybe the truth stumbles onto him.
Pink Panther 2 is silly and some of the slapstick humor may cross over into the mindless category. But it’s supposed to and that makes it fun. It’s rated PG for a bit of suggestive humor, but for the most part it’s just a good ol’ funny movie. Steve Martin is a hoot.
The DVD comes with a bonus disc of 27 Pink Panther cartoons. The Blu-ray set includes gag real, a digital copy file for portable players as well as the 27 cartoons.
