Georgia rockers Third Day are in need of some “motion” on their new CD, Move. They want the unbeliever to go to his knees, the church to draw close to God and Christians to head into the world. Musically, though, they stick close to home—and that’s a good thing.
The sparks fly from driving guitars in the standout “Make Your Move,” and a shimmering Southern-style slide guitar carries the anthemic “Children of God.” Even with a soft ballad to soften the hard edge (“What Have You Got to Lose”), Move delivers the band’s well-grounded rock in full force.
