New Details Surface Over Steve Lawson Firing
New details have come out since Steven Lawson was removed from his position as the pastor of Trinity Bible Church of Dallas.
Phil Johnson, the executive director of Grace to You, who is also an elder of John MacArthur’s Grace Community Church, gave the details of the “inappropriate relationship” which resulted in Lawson’s dismissal from the ministry.
“Inappropriate is too ambiguous – as if someone merely caught them holding hands,” Johnson wrote in a since-deleted X post which ChurchLeaders captured with a screenshot. “This was a 5-year relationship with strong romantic overtones. Both parties insist no literal fornication was involved, but their tie to one another was adulterous in spirit, if not in fact.”

‘Unsurvivable’ Storm Surge, 130 mph Winds: State of Emergency Issued for Hurricane Helene
As Hurricane Helene moves closer to the Florida coast, the storm is gaining strength and posing a serious threat to several states. Forecasters warn the storm could bring catastrophic flooding, dangerous winds, and life-threatening storm surge.
Meteorologists predict the storm could become a Category 4 hurricane with winds reaching 130 miles per hour and up to two feet of rain, potentially causing life-threatening flash floods.
“You can hide from the wind, and there will be significant wind in this storm, but you’ve got to run from the water,” said Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
How Does Rosh Hashanah Connect to the Rapture?
In a video by Pastor Jimmy Evans, he looks at the unique timing and circumstances surrounding this year’s Rosh Hashanah holiday and why it may have more spiritual significance to it than we see at first glance.
Evans points out how the April 8 eclipse happened during the celebration of the Jewish new year, and during Rosh Hashanah the “ring of fire” eclipse will occur.
“Jesus said there will be signs in the sun, moon and stars,” Evans says. “God speaks to us through signs. The first time Jesus came remember, the Magi were led to Jesus by the star … there had been significant events, the blood moons, all kinds of events, that have been happening that are announcing something. They’re announcing the coming of Jesus.”
