With our government in a monumental mess and many prophetic voices suggesting judgment—and many others suggesting a Great Awakening—one lawmaker is taking matters into his hands. Or, rather, hoping lawmakers will put matters into God’s hands.
U.S. Rep. Steven Palazzo (R-Miss.) sent a Bible to each and every one of the 535 members of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate, along with a personal message.
“On a daily basis, we contemplate policy decisions that impact America’s future. Our staffs provide us with policy memos, statistics and recommendations that help us make informed decisions. However, I find that the best advice comes through meditating on God’s Word,” Palazzo wrote, according to Talking Points Memo that obtained a copy of the memo. “Please find a copy of the Holy Bible to help guide you in your decision-making.”
