Marco Rubio took the extreme step of purchasing 30 minutes of air time on six Iowa TV stations to air a special “television town hall” event.
“[V]oters across the Hawkeye State get to experience one of Marco’s recent town halls from the comfort of their own homes,” the Rubio campaign said in a press release regarding the video. “The TV special offers all Iowans the opportunity to see Marco’s vision for the country, and his passion for the issues Iowa caucus-goers care about most.”
The program aired first in Sioux City on Saturday night. It then aired in the Sioux City, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines and Quad Cities markets on Sunday night. The Rubio campaign also released a YouTube version of the program.
