The Kennedy family is facing fresh heartbreak following the death of Tatiana Schlossberg, the granddaughter of President John F. Kennedy and daughter of Caroline Kennedy, who died at age 35 after a devastating battle with cancer.
Born into one of America’s most storied political families and raised both in Catholic and Jewish traditions, Schlossberg carved her own path. She was an accomplished writer and journalist, and was a graduate of Oxford University and Yale University. Her passing comes after months of intensive medical treatment for acute myeloid leukemia, an aggressive blood cancer she was diagnosed with not long after welcoming her second child into the world with husband George Moran.
Despite undergoing chemotherapy, stem cell transplants and advanced care, her condition worsened. In an article for the New Yorker, Schlossberg detailed the shock of her diagnosis and the uncertainty of her future. She frequently described her children as her greatest source of hope during her illness.
During this time, pray for the Kennedy family as they deal with this heartbreaking loss.
