CoComelon has become the most popular children’s show of this generation. However, it is known for becoming incredibly addicting for the children who watch it. Why is this so, and could there be more to this story than what meets the eye?

In a reaction video, Isaiah Saldivar shared how this kid’s content has triggered all kinds of negative behaviors within its viewers.

“They say right now ADHD is at a record-breaking high for kids, that it’s all no attention span; kids can’t sit through anything, sit through class, sit through a movie because their attention spans are being ruined from shows like CoComelon and from TikTok and from Instagram,” Saldivar says.

The first thing that the video shows is the deceptive ways CoComelon uses color patterns and saturation to addict children to what they are watching.

“Extreme saturation is normally used for alerts and notifications as its exciting dynamic and attracts attention which is why it’s also used in slot machines,” the video notes. “CoComelon puts these colors in perfect contrast, making them appear even more vibrant.”

The video also points out the highly repetitious nature of CoComelon, which essentially makes the content of the show stick into the children’s minds more easily.

Not only are the contents of CoComelon addicting for children, but the message behind the show has an agenda. From showcasing two fathers in an episode, to creating a song about a child refusing to brush their teeth or take a bath, it’s teaching children to be rebellious.

The video further notes how CoComelon has a “Distractatron room” where they watch to see if the kids will take their eyes off of the show and note when they do so. The internet has also exploded with parents discussing how their children became energized with rage, throwing tantrums after watching CoComelon, many even having speech delays.

“These companies don’t care about our kids. They want to infect our kids with this absolute trash and we need to be vigilant and not lazy,” Saldivar says. “Children are, the Bible says, a gift from God. God has given us our kids and we need to be responsible with the gift that He’s given us. We need to steward them properly.”
