Ted Cruz let his sense of humor out for a walk Friday. In the longstanding tradition of April Fool’s Day pranks, his campaign released the following video, which purportedly had his reaction to Donald Trump accepting his challenge to a one-on-one debate.
You have officially been “rickrolled.”
One small note regarding Cruz’s challenge: Candidates who engage in “unsanctioned” debates, that is, debates not arranged by the Republican National Committee, would face a penalty under Rule 10(h). That penalty would be disqualification from all future sanctioned debates.
Currently, there aren’t any more sanctioned debates on the schedule.
