Former Clinton IT Aide to Testify Wednesday

Hillary Clinton

It might have seemed like former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would get a momentary reprieve from Americans being reminded of her ongoing email scandal, but Judicial Watch made sure we remembered it only seemed that way on Monday.

The governmental watchdog organization announced the deposition of Bryan Pagliano, the Clinton State Department IT official who reportedly provided support for the Clinton email system, has been scheduled for Wednesday. As required by U.S. District Court Judge Sullivan, the deposition will be videotaped, but only a transcript will be publicly available.

“Mr. Pagliano is an important witness and we’re pleased his testimony will be videotaped,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said. “We’re also pleased that the State Department has agreed to give us previously unreleased key documents about Mrs. Clinton’s email system and how it negatively impacted the Freedom of Information law.”

Pagliano’s deposition with be the first of three to be conducted over the next seven days. Clinton’s Deputy Chief of Staff and senior adviser Huma Abedin will give her deposition June 28. Under Secretary of State for Management Patrick Kennedy will give his the following day.

Abedin, who was the focus on Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act request to the State Department that triggered the lawsuit, had an email account on the clintonemail.com “home brew” server. Kennedy was the State Department’s principal adviser on management issues, including technology and information services.

But the hits just keep on coming for Clinton. Sullivan has also granted additional “discovery” that will include records referenced in the now-infamous State Department Inspector General’s report. The new records will be delivered Tuesday.
