For Debbie D’Souza, the most unforgettable moment came from Erica Kirk’s speech. “I can’t even imagine losing your husband and then going on and speaking to a crowd about that,” she said. “You could tell that she was really you could tell she was struggling. She was struggling and she was praying that that she get through it. But I think the the most amazing part of her speech was when she said she forgave his assassin.”
“It is Christian love,” Dinesh said. “It is the unique aspect of Christianity which is forgiveness… is not something that you find in other religions.”
Another profound topic the D’Souza’s discussed was their recent trip to Israel. Dinesh noted how, “Jerusalem represents Yahweh. It represents the Bible. It represents the Ten Commandments.”
Dinesh continued, emphasizing how America has parallels to Israel. “…the physical land of Israel, the people of Israel, and of course the archaeology of Israel are politically, culturally, morally, religiously are [like] … the founding of America.”
