In recent weeks the media has gone out of its way to applaud the sad and tragic story of Bruce Jenner’s journey from adulation, as a gold medal Olympian, to emasculation. What causes a man with a physique like Hercules to seek the body and mind of a woman, only to end up with neither one?
The answer to that question is found in Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians. In chapter two of second Thessalonians we are told that in these last days Satan will come “with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth … and for this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they might believe what is false.”
Bruce Jenner is clearly deluded. This ‘delusional disorder’ is explained on Web MD as follows:
“Delusional disorder, previously called paranoid disorder, is a type of serious mental illness called a ‘psychosis’ in which a person cannot tell what is real from what is imagined. The main feature of this disorder is the presence of delusions, which are unshakable beliefs in something untrue.”
Bruce Jenner’s problem is not confined to him alone, but is symptomatic of a greater delusion that is spreading like a virus across the church world. Millions who call themselves believers, as well as entire denominations are buying into the belief that the LGBT’s (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transexual) demonic doctrine is in fact true and God’s Word is false. Therefore because they refused to “receive the love of the truth … God will send them a strong delusion so that they might believe what is false.”
As tragic as Bruce Jenner’s twisted mind and mutilated body has become, it is nothing in comparison to what is about to be unleashed. The scriptures make it clear that God is not mocked and that whatever we sow we reap. And when we sow to the wind we will reap a whirlwind.
The answer to avoiding this harvest is to return to a love for the truth—God’s Word is truth; the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Love it and find life or deny it and become delusional.
