The current situation in the U.S., with racial tension, riots, deep political division and clamor over the erosion of freedom, has shocked many people—but not prophetic minister and author Rick Joyner of MorningStar Ministries. He says it was inevitable and, in fact, says it marks a revolutionary war the Lord told him was coming as far back as 2018.
“I was given a pretty dramatic dream—I would call it one of the most powerful dreams I’ve ever had—in 2018, in which I was shown that this was coming,” Joyner says. “And they called it the second American Revolution/Civil War. It was inevitable. It was right. And it would be successful.”
Joyner says many of his friends today say this prediction was spot-on, that we’re in such a war right now.
“I saw heaven did not think that we won the Revolutionary War,” he says. “To heaven, that was not just about getting independence from the British, it was about establishing a nation on the earth where there was truly freedom and justice for all. And you know, we won independence, but it became freedom and justice for some, for the most, for the majority, but the slaves didn’t benefit. And so it made the Civil War inevitable. Because the evil of slavery could not be allowed; it just could not be tolerated any longer.”
Because of that, Joyner says, this next revolution is inevitable. For that, he says we must “fight to win—to win on those grounds. We are not going to tolerate injustice; we are not going to tolerate discrimination, any of these things in our land: racial discrimination, religious discrimination … as much as we can do from an earthly government, that has to be done here.”
But these answers aren’t altogether political, Joyner says. “Something is going to come that is really going to deal with the fundamentals of how fouled up our whole system has become because so many major decisions have been made on political expediency rather than on what is right, what is constitutional—the foundations of our government and what we are supposed to stand for.
Joyner says he intends to strengthen his roots in those things and “as much as possible, be delivered from any political spirit, anything that would ever cause me to compromise what is right, what is true just for what is politically expedient. I want to know the Constitution. I read it all the time. I want to understand it. More than that, I want to know the Bible. You know, Spurgeon said he could find 10 men who would die for the Bible for every one that would read it. And I think that’s still the case. People are so loyal to the Scriptures and the Bible in theory, but they’re not loyal enough, in many cases, to even read it, know what’s in it.”
In this new revolution, Joyner says, “the only safe place on the planet is going to be in God’s will.” For more of his teaching on the new American revolution, listen to this entire episode of the Strang Report podcast here, and subscribe to the Strang Report on Apple Podcasts or your favorite podcast platform. {eoa}
