In the days of Elijah, the prophet gave a warning of judgment that would come. Malachi 4 tells us that the Lord will burn up the evil roots of sin.
“‘For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘That will leave them neither root nor branch'” (Mal. 4:1, NKJV).
But there is something else the Lord will do:
“‘But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse” (Mal. 4:2-6, author’s emphasis).
Two things happen during judgment:
- Evil is burned up, consumed by the holy fire of God.
- The righteous are built up and strengthened.
As the days of Elijah draw near, God is strengthening and encouraging those who will minister to Him, who will draw nearer to Him. He is releasing authority to those who know that God’s judgment produces purity and righteousness.
Judgment is a friend to those who desire a right standing with God! He will restore those whose voices are crying in the desert.
Just as Robin Mark’s revival song says:
“These are the days of Elijah/ Declaring the word of the Lord:
And these are the days of Your servant Moses/ Righteousness being restored.
And though these are days of great trial/ Of famine and darkness and sword.
Still, we are the voice in the desert crying/ ‘Prepare ye the way of the Lord!'”
God’s Word for us today is this:
“I left it up to My kings and priests to take care of the evil in the nations, but the evil was bigger than they knew. It has overcome too many. I will step in and remove it with my holy fire.’
In the Days of Elijah, The Lord Is Calling Those Who Won’t Comprise
The Lord is preparing a shift. He is calling those who won’t comprise their faith. He is inviting those with the Zadok anointing to:
— Walk in biblical instruction so they will remain strengthened.
— Stand in biblical truth so they will teach the difference between the pure and the profane.
— Use the Bible to guide their behaviors so they will represent godly leadership
What Is the Zadok Anointing?
Zadok means “righteous.” In the Bible, Zadok was a prophet and a high priest who remained faithful to King David. Those with the Zadok anointing uphold God’s standard even when others go astray. They remain faithful to the true King and are a prophetic personal priesthood who will dwell in and minister to the Lord.
— “‘But the priests, the Levites, the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from Me, they shall come near Me to minister to Me; and they shall stand before Me to offer to Me the fat and the blood,’ says the Lord God. ‘They shall enter My sanctuary, and they shall come near My table to minister to Me, and they shall keep My charge. … And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. In controversy they shall stand as judges, and judge it according to My judgments. They shall keep My laws and My statutes in all My appointed meetings, and they shall hallow My Sabbaths'” (Ezek. 44:15-16, 23-24).
From Misalignment to Alignment
We are in a season of misalignment. The lines of biblical Christianity are being blurred. There are many who are struggling to keep the charge of what they are called to do–to be the kings and priests they are called to be. The enemy is working to remove God out of every mountain of influence, and as a result, our inheritance is being stolen.
But God is rising up a priesthood that will remain faithful at all costs. They will be the ones to bring alignment.
They are not looking to the traditions of man, but instead drawing near to God. They are answering “yes and amen” to this priestly anointing.
He is calling for a people devoted to Him in purity and prayer. He will use those who walk by the prophetic revelation of the Holy Spirit in the days of Elijah to bring revival and restoration.
God is not done yet. He is calling out to those who will uphold His standard to truth and justice in this hour.
Is this you?
“The king also said to Zadok the priest, ‘Are you not a seer?'” (2 Sam. 15:27a).
