On October 10, 2021, around the evening, I had a very vivid and reassuring dream about what the next season will look like for the bride of Christ.
It was a setting of the bride getting ready to get married. Her resplendent and beautiful wedding dress was being kept in this ornately upholstered antique wardrobe. As the minutes and hours wore on, I saw her go from room to room in the process of preparation. It was a busy scene heaving with people. Busyness and a crowd doesn’t necessarily equate effectiveness, as we need to be careful who we take into our inner place. If not, we can be compromised from our goal and mandate. She encountered a few obstacles before she could put on her wedding dress.
The scene changed to her needing to go through a path to meet the groom. I couldn’t see him but there was the sense that he was around. There was an incredible ray of light around that shone and radiated all around, which meant he was indeed close and not far away. As she stepped out of the house to continue on the journey to meet the groom, three women suddenly appeared. They had similar white dresses on, although they were more cream than the real white dress the bride had on.
From afar, it looked like these ladies were holding dogs. But when you got closer, you saw they were actually holding wolves. It was clear to me they were sent to hinder the bride from finding her way to the groom for covenant. Although there was opposition, there were also people around the bride who were warring because they could see the wolves and knew what it meant.
As they warred for the bride, the wolves would be taken out. In the wolves being taken out, the bride’s dress would get dirtied. Finally, all the wolves were permanently removed. Yet she seemingly looked a bit of a mess through it all.
Suddenly as the warring ceased, there appeared like crystal clear water. The bride walked through it and her dress became white as snow once again. She met with her groom, and much rejoicing and jubilation ensued.
The word of encouragement is thus: The need for many to NOW rise up to pray and eradicate the myriads of hindrances to breakthrough is more acute than before. There are real hindrances to unity in the body of Christ. There are many gifted people who are not operating with a friendship mindset but rather one of division and discord; therefore, being like sheep in wolves clothing. The dogs are representatives of ones being used to immobilize those attracted into a false sense of trust and comfortability but really they’re wolves ready to ravage with impunity.
In this season as we rise up, we need to pray for discernment and understanding, and so not let anyone into our bridal confidence and so maybe permanently dirty our garments and mantles. These are things that pull us away from the unity and relationships being built. Ones drenched in bitterness and with great guile in their spirits create hindrances and obstacles to acceleration and transformation.
Let’s trust God implicitly as we pray, so we’re not distracted from the upward call. We should stop simply talking to travailing. Less talk, more tears and travailing. “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent” (Isa. 62:6, NKJV). The bride was faced with all these obstacles and hindrances but there were those who knew their God that didn’t talk but travailed and refreshing came.
Let’s pray for the times of refreshing to come because they are HERE! Let’s keep our focus there, enter by the sheep gate and posses what is here and what is to come.
Isaiah 62:1-12 (NKJV):
“For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, And her salvation as a lamp that burns. The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, And all kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name, Which the mouth of the Lord will name. You shall also be a crown of glory In the hand of the Lord, And a royal diadem In the hand of your God. You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate; But you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; For the Lord delights in you, And your land shall be married. For as a young man marries a virgin, So shall your sons marry you; And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, So shall your God rejoice over you. I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. The Lord has sworn by His right hand And by the arm of His strength: ‘Surely I will no longer give your grain As food for your enemies; And the sons of the foreigner shall not drink your new wine, For which you have labored. But those who have gathered it shall eat it, And praise the Lord; Those who have brought it together shall drink it in My holy courts.’ Go through, Go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; Build up, Build up the highway! Take out the stones, Lift up a banner for the peoples! Indeed the Lord has proclaimed To the end of the world: ‘Say to the daughter of Zion, “Surely your salvation is coming; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him.”‘ ‘And they shall call them The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord; And you shall be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken.”
Let the prophetic word of truth cause you to see God’s watchman over His bride to war for purpose.
Let the prophetic word of truth cause you to be empowered to remove the stones and keep building the gates and hang the doors.
Let the prophetic word of truth bring that assurance that what belongs to you, the bride, shall not be delayed, stolen nor held back! {eoa}
