Prayers Needed: Tulsi Gabbard Reveals Husband’s Rare Cancer Battle in Shocking Resignation Announcement

Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence, announced Friday that she is resigning from her position after her husband, Abraham Gabbard, was diagnosed with what she described as “an extremely rare form of bone cancer.”

Gabbard posted her resignation letter to both her official and personal social media accounts Friday, informing President Donald Trump that her resignation will take effect June 30, 2026.

“Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026,” Gabbard wrote. “My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.”

Gabbard praised her husband for standing beside her throughout her military service and political career.

“Abraham has been my rock throughout our eleven years of marriage — standing steadfast through my deployment to East Africa on a Joint Special Operations mission, multiple political campaigns, and now my service in this role,” she wrote. “His strength and love have sustained me through every challenge.”

“I cannot in good conscience ask him to face this fight alone while I continue in this demanding and time-consuming position,” she added.

Gabbard also reflected on her tenure leading the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

“While we have made significant progress at the ODNI — advancing unprecedented transparency and restoring integrity to the intelligence community — I recognize there is still important work to be done,” she wrote.

The resignation creates a major vacancy inside the Trump administration at a critical moment for the nation’s intelligence and national security operations.

Gabbard said she remains “fully committed to ensuring a smooth and thorough transition over the coming weeks so that you and your team experience no disruption in leadership or momentum.”

As Abraham Gabbard faces a difficult battle ahead, we encourage Christians across the nation to pray for healing, strength, peace and God’s comfort over the Gabbard family during this deeply painful season.

YWAM Pioneer Leland Paris Remembered as ‘Father in the Faith’ After Passing

Global missions leader and humanitarian pioneer Leland Paris is being remembered across the Christian world as a “father in the faith” following his passing on May 15 at the age of 87.

Paris founded Global Bridges Relief, a Christian humanitarian organization serving vulnerable children and families in restricted and impoverished nations. The ministry described his life as one devoted to rescuing the vulnerable, raising up leaders and bringing the gospel into spiritually dark regions around the world.

In a tribute titled “A Father to the Fatherless,” Global Bridges highlighted Paris’ deep compassion for bringing the light of the Gospel to the places hardest to reach.

Paris was also widely known for his leadership within Youth With A Mission (YWAM). He helped pioneer YWAM’s Discipleship Training School model in the 1970s and later founded YWAM Tyler, one of the organization’s most influential training centers.

The Instagram tribute that circulated widely following his death was posted by YWAM Tyler. In the post, the ministry honored him as:

“Missionary Statesman · Pioneer · Father in the Faith 1939–2026.”

The post also described Paris as a “hero of the faith” and a “faithful servant of God,” reflecting the deep affection many in the missions movement had for him.

He was 87 years old.
He and Frances were married for 65 years.

He spent the greater part of his life giving away everything he had to see the Great Commission fulfilled in his generation.

David Wilkinson saw Dr. Paris’ vision to train thousands.
So he offered Twin Oaks Ranch.
A place to equip leaders.
A place to send many into the harvest field.

The Discipleship Training School was his vision.
Global Bridges was his vision.
Hope for the Children was his vision.

His passion was simple:
To know God and make Him known.

Because Dr. Leland Paris said yes:
More than one million people have gone through a DTS.
More than 200 ministries have been planted in over 140 countries.
More than 118 million meals have been served to the hungry.
More than 700 orphans have been cared for in restricted nations.
Thousands of leaders have been trained.

We will not pretend this is a small loss.
It is not.

We are praying for Frances.
We are praying for the Paris children and grandchildren.
We are praying for the staff of this Ranch and every ministry he touched.

And we are deeply grateful — beyond what words can hold — that we had him for as long as we did.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”

At a time when the world is desperate for hope, compassion and truth, Paris embodied the biblical call found in James 1:27 to care for widows and orphans in their distress. His life stands as a reminder that some of the greatest Kingdom impact happens far from the spotlight—in hidden places where faithfulness, sacrifice and obedience to Christ change lives forever.

Trump, RFK Jr. and Netanyahu Deliver Emotional Messages Following Joni Lamb’s Passing

Tributes continue to pour in following the passing of Daystar Television Network co-founder Joni Lamb, with world leaders and influential voices honoring her faith, courage and enduring impact on Christian media.

During her celebration of life, President Donald Trump sent in a special message where he called Lamb “an extraordinary woman” and “a true pioneer in Christian broadcasting.”

“Melania and I send our prayers and our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of an extraordinary woman, a friend of mine, a great person, Joni Lamb,” Trump said. “Joni was a true pioneer in Christian broadcasting, and a person of tremendous faith.”

Trump reflected on meeting Lamb years ago at Trump Tower and recalled her unwavering confidence in his political future.

“I first met Joni at Trump Tower for one of the first gatherings back in 2011,” Trump said. “She wanted me to run. She said, ‘You’re going to win, you’re going to win,’ and she was just amazing.”

He also praised her boldness and commitment to biblical truth.

“She was a strong and courageous person, never afraid to stand boldly for truth and for the Word of God,” Trump said. “She was all about God.”

Trump celebrated the worldwide influence Lamb and her late husband, Marcus Lamb, built through Daystar.

“Alongside Marcus, they built one of the largest Christian networks and ministries in the entire world, touching the lives of millions and millions of people,” Trump said. “What she did with Daystar is unbelievable.”

He concluded by encouraging supporters to continue carrying on her legacy.

“Daystar will continue to spread faith and Christian values and love of God for generations to come,” Trump said. “Today we honor Joni. We celebrate her incredible life.”

Meanwhile, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. shared how Daystar gave him a platform during one of the most controversial seasons of his public life.

“I just considered [Joni] an extraordinary friend and a mentor and an inspiration,” Kennedy said.

Kennedy recalled appearing on Daystar in 2020 after being removed from major social media platforms.

“I had just been censored,” Kennedy said. “Mark Zuckerberg had removed my Instagram account with a million followers. I couldn’t talk on social media anymore, and all of a sudden, after 15 years of censorship, I was talking on Daystar to 2 million people.”

He credited Daystar with allowing open conversations surrounding freedom of speech and medical freedom during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The only place that you could go to talk about that was Daystar,” Kennedy said. “I’m so grateful to Joni and the entire family for keeping our democracy alive during that critical period.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also honored Lamb’s steadfast support for Israel and the Jewish people.

“Joni worked tirelessly to strengthen the relationship between the evangelical Christian community and the State of Israel,” Netanyahu said.

He praised her commitment to combating anti-Semitism and defending biblical truth regarding Israel.

“Through the important platforms she built, she brought millions of people closer to God and closer to faith,” Netanyahu said. “Rest in peace, Joni, a true and great friend of Israel.”

As Christians around the world continue mourning Lamb’s passing, her influence on faith-based media, free speech conversations and unwavering biblical convictions remains deeply woven into the lives of countless believers. Though her voice may now be silent on earth, the ministry she helped build continues reaching nations with the gospel message—proof that a life surrendered fully to God can leave an eternal impact for generations to come.

Joel Osteen Shares Heartbreaking Text Message From Joni Lamb During ‘Fight of Her Life’

During the celebration of life service held for co-founder and president, Joni Lamb, Lakewood Church lead pastor, Pastor Joel Osteen gave some touching remarks about how his friendship with her was filled with encouragement and hope.

“Joni was a strong woman and she, and I saw the fight in Joni, the determination and the courage and the resiliency,” he said.

Osteen mentioned how he first heard about Lamb having some health struggles back in the early spring, which led him to send her a text message.

“I sent Joni a text, and I just told her…’Victoria and I are praying for you, you’re going to come through this…’ I was just going to do a little short text, but I just kept telling her more,” Osteen recounted.

“Just telling her what she meant to our didn’t think anything odd, just trying to encourage her, and just telling her what she meant to the kingdom, and how many people loved her and just my little text turned into something a lot longer, but you know what? Holy Spirit was giving it to me. Well, I never dreamed two months later I’d be standing here,” he continued.

Osteen now sees this as a great privilege and opportunity that he was given to share that communication with Lamb.

“I’m glad I got to tell her how I felt about it’s a good lesson to follow the Holy Spirit and tell the people in your life how much you love them because, you know I hope we all live another hundred years, but if we don’t it’s nice to not have any regrets. I feel like I did get to tell Joni that.”

Osteen then shared about how Lamb responded to his message.

“Joni texted me right back and she kind things about me, but then ‘I’m in the fight of my life, and this is difficult.’ I didn’t see that coming. She had a little crying face told Victoria, ‘she must be fighting a real battle.'”

He also noted that Lamb said she would make it through the situation.

“…never heard Joni complain,” Osteen stated. “Never heard her say, ‘Why me?’ and all that. She fought the good fight of faith, and I think about even in the Bible it talks about many of the saints of old that died in faith. And I think about Joni. She didn’t die angry, she didn’t die died in faith.”

Influential Leaders Mourn James Robison’s Death, Share Powerful Tributes

Following the passing of James Robison, many leaders have come out to offer powerful tributes to his long legacy of faith and ministry.

On X, the Rev. Franklin Graham wrote:

I was saddened to learn that James Robison passed away yesterday. I knew James for many years. He was a powerful preacher and a great encourager. I will miss him, but I’ll see him again one day in Heaven.

Ambassador Mike Huckabee also gave a touching tribute too, sharing that he even named his son after Robison.

I worked for James Robison in the 70’s as Dir of Comms. He & wife Betty were huge influences in my life. My middle son’s middle name is “James” after him. His death hits hard. He mentored me in so many ways. Remembering James Robison

Pastor Samuel Rodriguez shared about how Robison was like a spiritual mentor to him, who had walked beside him for many years.

To order Jonathan Cahn’s new book, The Altar of Pergamon, visit .

He was one of my spiritual overseers, a mentor, a dear friend, and a man of God that I honor and will honor for the rest of my days. James Robison passed away. I remember a special day at Gateway when the Lord instructed him to tell me to get on the ground right there on the stage, and on that stage, He placed His mantle upon me — a mantle to proclaim the gospel, to advance the kingdom of heaven, and to preach the word in and out of season. That moment marked me. It was truly an inflection point. And now Papa James is in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank you, James, for your commitment. Thank you for teaching us that repentance leads to revival, and that revival will inevitably lead to reformation. I love you dearly. I will miss you.

Jentezen Franklin also called Robison a “true man of God.”

Remembering a true man of God today, my friend, James Robison. What a life well lived. The world is different because of the impact that he made. Praying for Betty and the family today.

Bunni Pounds also commented on Robison’s impact and reach.

Because of James…. We have all been impacted!

During this time, continue to pray for Robison’s family and the LIFE Outreach International Family.

Joni Lamb’s Closest Friend Shares Untold Memories From Behind the Scenes

For more than four decades, Rhonda Davis shared a friendship with Joni Lamb that was rooted not in fame or television ministry, but in worship, surrender and a shared passion for the gospel.

In a heartfelt tribute, Davis reflected on the private moments and spiritual depth that defined Lamb’s life long before millions knew her through broadcasts on Daystar Television Network.

“I first met Joni Lamb in 1984,” Davis said. “We were two young evangelist wives.”

As their ministries traveled through Montgomery, Alabama, Davis and her husband would often stay at the home of Marcus and Joni Lamb. Those visits became sacred moments of worship and prayer that would shape a lifelong friendship.

“Joni had a little room in that house, and she and I would sit on the floor of that little room surrounded by cassette tapes,” Davis recalled. “And on those cassette tapes were the soundtracks of the songs that we planned to sing before our husbands preached.”

What began as simple preparation for ministry often transformed into powerful encounters with God.

“Those moments turned into hours,” Davis said. “Those hours turned into worship often with tears as we enjoyed the glorious presence of the Lord.”

To order Joni Lamb’s book, Through the Storm, visit .

At the end of those worship sessions, the two women would recommit themselves to Christ and the call God had placed on their lives.

“At the end of every one of those sessions, we would declare our firm commitment to live fully surrendered to Jesus Christ and to accept the mandate of taking the gospel of Jesus to a hurting world,” Davis said.

According to Davis, that unwavering devotion never changed throughout Lamb’s life and ministry.

“For 42 years, that’s the Joni Lamb I knew,” she said. “That was Joni in every season of her life, fully surrendered to Christ and fully devoted to the mandate of Daystar, taking the gospel to a hurting world.”

Davis also shared glimpses into the conversations they shared privately over the years. She described Lamb as someone deeply moved by testimonies of eternity, redemption and encounters with Christ.

“Joni would say, ‘Let me tell you something, Bestie. I interviewed a man today. He went to heaven and all the sights that he saw, the sounds that he heard and the people that were waiting at the gate as he entered eternity,’” Davis recounted.

Then, after pausing dramatically, Lamb would continue the story with awe-filled excitement.

“She was a master storyteller,” Davis said. “‘Then he encountered Christ.’ And all the glory that would fill her voice as she talked of eternity.”

Davis said Lamb believed deeply in using television ministry to share stories of redemption and lead people toward Jesus Christ.

“Joni accepted the mandate to take redemption stories through Daystar Television to a world that needed to know that Christ loves us and wants us to spend eternity with Him,” she said.

Fighting back emotion, Davis ended her tribute with a final farewell to the woman she called her best friend.

“Joni Lamb was an extravagant gift of grace to this world,” Davis said. “Joni Lamb was an extravagant gift of grace to me.”

She added, “I know her legacy will continue through Daystar TV. I will love you forever, Joni. You are in my future. Well done, good and faithful servant.”
