The devil loves to use spiritual warfare to try to get you out of alignment with God, says Pastor Dennis Funderburg.
“The only connection your spirit has to this world is your mind, will and emotions,” he says on the Jesus Is Still Jesus podcast. “Inside of you is a conflict. You have a conflict between your spirit and your flesh.”
You may start out your day wanting to invite Jesus into every area and moment, but little by little, the distractions of the day can pull your mind away from God. By the end of the day, you may find you got little to nothing of consequence done and your thoughts are totally unorganized.
What you may not realize, though, are that those pressures and anxious thoughts could be tools of the evil one.
“That is a huge tactic of the enemy to keep us from being sensitive to God’s presence, to keep us out of alignment,” Funderburg says.
