There’s a war for the Millennial Generation. Born between 1980 and 2000, this generation (also known as Generation Y) is the least religious group in American history—and it’s officially the largest demographic, surpassing even the Baby Boomers.

Consider these troubling statistics:

65% rarely attend church

70% agree that church is irrelevant

26% believe they will go to heaven when they die

15% are true Christians

13% consider spirituality important

84% say job success is important

“Chymorvah Guesthouse is not just our livelihood, it is our home. We don’t expect everyone to agree with our beliefs, but we do want the freedom to be able to live by our own values under our own roof. Everyone benefits from those liberties, and everyone loses something when they are watered down.”

—Hazelmary Bull, co-owner of the Chymorvah Guesthouse in Cornwall, U.K., after a judge ruled in favor of a gay couple who sued the bed and breakfast for allowing only married couples to share a room
