Why Is There a Huge Wedge Between Jews and Christians?

If Jews and Christians both believe in the same God, why is there such division between them? Why is history littered with deathly accounts of this division, from the early Jewish persecution of Christians to the Crusades’ slaughtering of Jews?

Kirt A. Schneider, an international evangelist who serves as rabbi of Lion of Judah World Outreach Center in Toledo, Ohio, uncovers the answers to these questions in his new book, The Lion of Judah. Schneider discussed the book with host Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of “Greenelines” on the Charisma Podcast Network.

Like any good teacher, Schneider wants to take complicated truths and make them simple. And that’s what he did in his book.

“How could this one who is so Jewish now be viewed by the Jewish community as something that’s just for the Gentiles? And how has it been that now Gentiles often have a difficult time understanding the Jewish roots of their faith?” he asked. “I felt that addressing the subject from both angles, helping Jewish people to understand the Jewishness of Jesus and helping Gentile people understand the Jewish roots of their faith … is something that needs to be spoken about.”

Listen to the podcast to hear Rabbi Schneider explain the bridge between the Old and New Testaments and how Jesus the Messiah is the bridge over both.
