Girl Scouts are offering a Muslim badge to their troops, according to a report from White House correspondent Natalie Winters.
Winters shared on X that the Girl Scouts of USA approved the “Girl Scout of the Islamic Faith” medals and has invited non-Muslim girls to mosques to learn about Muslim prayer, Ramadan, hijabs, and other Islamic practices. The report noted that Mosque-based programs operate across the country, including in Sacramento, Naperville, Long Island, Brooklyn, San Diego, and other areas.
Detailing other Muslim outreach programs, Winters wrote, “The clearest outreach to non-Muslims is ‘Share Ramadan With a Friend.’”

“Brownies and Juniors invite non-Muslim friends to iftar and explain Ramadan. Older girls may take them to a mosque, explain its dress code—and invite them to observe salah,” she said.
Winters went on to describe Girl Scouts offering programs recognizing the Five Pillars of Islam, Ramadan lock-ins, and other events.
Girl Scouts claimed the reporting was “misinformation.”
“There’s misinformation circulating online today about Girl Scouts and religion. Here are the facts: Girl Scouts is not a religious organization and does not teach religion. For more than a century, we’ve welcomed girls of every faith and background,” the organization said. “Our national My Promise, My Faith pin invites girls to connect the Girl Scout Law with their own faith. Any other faith-based patches are developed by independent faith organizations, not Girl Scouts of the USA. Girl Scouts is proudly for every girl.”
Meanwhile, the Pentagon announced earlier this year that it was nearing an agreement with Scouting America, formerly known as Boy Scouts of America, to continue financial support so long as it moves away from woke policies.
