Los Angeles may experience a great awakening.
Mayoral candidate for Los Angeles, Spencer Pratt, is giving God all the glory as he prepares to take on the city’s current mayor, Karen Bass.
“I didn’t know I’d be here tonight, but it’s obviously God’s plan, and I’m going to go all way, and I’m going to show everybody that I’m their mayor,” Pratt stated.
Pratt also explained that over the next five months, he will spend time prepping and doing his best to prove that the city is ready for change and that he is the perfect one to lead the charge.

“The next five months, I’m going to have time to build out this team to show everybody the level of Democratic supporters that I have behind me, the heavy hitters that are in this group, that are all behind me,” Pratt stated.
He further made the point that he plans to be mayor not just for one type of person in Los Angeles, but for all the city’s people.
“This idea that I don’t represent Democrats and Republicans and Independents, anyone that’s just a Los Angeles citizen who wants basic quality of life, I’ll be able to show that in five months…I’m an Angelino who said ‘enough is enough,’ and I had to step up.”

As Los Angeles prepares for another pivotal election season, Pratt’s repeated acknowledgment of God’s hand in his journey has resonated with many who believe leadership is ultimately a matter of calling, not just ambition.
Scripture reminds us to pray for those in authority and for the cities in which we live (1 Tim. 2:1-2; Jer. 29:7). If spiritual renewal is to come to the City of Angels, it will begin not merely at the ballot box, but through hearts turned toward God and a people seeking His direction for the future.
