The Texas primaries are over, and the lines are drawn. Democrat James Talarico will face off against Attorney General Ken Paxton in what promises to be one of the most consequential Senate races in the Lone Star State’s history. But behind the polished speeches and carefully crafted image lies a growing alarm rippling through Christian and conservative communities across Texas and beyond.
Don’t be deceived. James Talarico is campaigning as a “moderate” Democrat; a reasonable, faith-friendly alternative. This is not a new strategy. It is as old as the Garden itself. For millennia, the enemy of our souls has mastered the art of disguise, cloaking darkness in the language of light. This is the same deception that ushered in radical agendas under smooth-talking candidates before (Barack Obama and Abigail Spanberger for example). Satan doesn’t storm the gates with horns and pitchforks. He dresses his candidates in moderate clothing, quotes Scripture, and smiles for the cameras while advancing an agenda that stands in direct opposition to God’s Word.
Talarico presents himself as a Christian. He quotes the Bible on the campaign trail. Yet Scripture warns us plainly: “Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14). The devil quoted Scripture to tempt Jesus in the wilderness. Do not be fooled.

In recent comments, Talarico has openly embraced homosexuality, transvestism ideology, and abortion. He claims the Bible is either silent on these issues or actually supports them. This is not nuance. This is a lie straight from the pit of hell.
The Word of God is crystal clear. Leviticus 18:22 and Romans 1:26-27 condemn homosexual practice as an abomination. Deuteronomy 22:5 addresses the blurring of God’s created order between male and female. And the shedding of innocent blood? The Bible calls it murder. Abortion is modern-day child sacrifice — offered not to Moloch on stone altars, but to the gods of convenience, career, and self-worship in sterile clinics. The blood of millions of unborn children cries out from the ground, just as Abel’s did.
James Talarico is a political Trojan horse. If elected, he will not govern as a moderate. He will swing hard to the radical left, just like so many before him. Your Second Amendment rights, your personal liberties, your freedom to worship according to biblical conviction, and the moral foundation of our nation will all be placed on the chopping block.
Even more disturbing is the embrace he has received from certain so-called Christian leaders and believers. This is the Golden Calf moment of our generation. Just as the Israelites, impatient and compromised, melted down their gold and fashioned a false god they could control, many today have reshaped Jesus into a harmless mascot of vague “love and acceptance.” A Jesus who never confronts sin. A Jesus who affirms every lifestyle choice. A Jesus who bears no resemblance to the Lion of Judah who drove out the money changers and called the Pharisees a brood of vipers.
This is not the Jesus of the Bible. This is a counterfeit — an antichrist spirit that has taken deep root in the Democrat Party and in far too many American hearts. A sugar-coated, spiritually diabetic gospel has left believers malnourished and deceived, unable to discern truth from a cleverly packaged lie.
Now is the time to stand.
