President Donald Trump is proclaiming the Good News of the Gospel ahead of Resurrection Sunday.

During a lunch with Christian leaders from around the nation, Trump shared a powerful message about Jesus.

“On Good Friday, the Son of God was nailed to the cross, crucified, and He died,” Trump stated. “For all of us. It was a day of darkness, but it wasn’t the end. By any means, it was not the end.”

Trump further shared how this day of Jesus’ death led up to His resurrection on Sunday.

“On Easter Sunday, the stone was rolled away and the grave was empty. Christians everywhere rejoiced, and we continue to rejoice.”

The President then called the resurrection of Jesus, “a miracle..”

“It was the miracle in all of history, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It was one of the great…it was the great miracle, I guess, right? The great miracle.

He told His followers, ‘I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Because of the events of Holy Week 20 centuries ago, people from every nation, language and background can take on any difficulty, press through any trial and endure any hardship. With Christ, not one thing can separate humanity from the powers of God’s everlasting love,” he continued.

The President also discussed how May 17 would be a day dedicated to prayer on the National Mall.

“On May 17, I’m inviting every American to the National Mall for a day of prayer,” he stated.”

As the message of the cross echoes once again across America, the question is no longer whether God is speaking—but whether a nation will respond.

Scripture reminds us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that if God’s people humble themselves, pray, seek His face and turn from their wicked ways, then He will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land. The promise has never changed—but it has always required a response.

Could it be that this Easter season marks more than remembrance—but a turning point? As the call to prayer goes forth, America stands at a crossroads between repentance and resistance. The question now remains: Will we answer when God calls?
