For those navigating a life or faith transition, prophetic voice Alwyn Uys says this period is an opportunity for preparation and discernment.
Uys says that right now, the body of Christ must be discerning of the seasons and the times God has placed each person in: “There are seasons in life, in nature, and there are seasons with the Lord.” Referencing Ecclesiastes 3:1-4, he noted, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every purpose under heaven… a time to plant and a time to pluck what is planted… a time to break and a time to build up.”
Transition seasons, Uys explained, often bring challenges as people attempt to use methods from previous seasons that may no longer be effective. “If I was going to wear the same clothes in the summer season that I’m trying to wear now in the winter season, I’m just not going to make it,” he said.

Uys emphasized the importance of following God’s timing rather than clinging to the past. “Do not hang on to the old things of the past, but grab onto the hem of Jesus and say, ‘Lord, lead me in this new season. Lead me and guide me where you want me in this time.’ Be led by the Spirit of God and not just by religion, not just by systems, not just by patterns, but be led by the Spirit of God in this season.”
Acknowledging that resistance is a regular part of change, he cited 1 John 4:4: “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” He further said, “Every season has its challenges. Just because you are walking in the perfect will of God doesn’t mean that you won’t face resistance. The methods just look different.”
Now is the time to embrace transition seasons with faith and intentionality, trusting that God is orchestrating every detail. This is a time to prepare, to discern and to walk closely with Him. Even in the midst of challenges and resistance, God’s guidance remains steadfast, and He will shape each person for the purpose He has prepared for them, leading them in His perfect timing.
