President Donald Trump is calling on Americans to abide by the biblical command to care for the least of these.
In a statement, the president said, “The Bible tells us that of the measures of any society is how it cares for vulnerable children and orphans. So important. It is so big in the Bible.“
With this, he promised that as America strives to rebuild and become an even better nation, part of this growth includes caring for those children who need it most.

This statement comes as the president signed the executive order that was meant to help teenagers who are about to age out of the foster care system, as News Nation noted.
President Trump’s words draw America back to a timeless biblical mandate—one God has never revoked. Scripture is unmistakably clear: “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling” (Ps. 68:5). The Lord aligns Himself with the vulnerable, and He measures His people by how they respond to those who cannot defend themselves. Throughout the Old and New Testaments, God commands His people to “defend the fatherless” and to care for orphans with compassion, justice and sacrificial love.
