In a world that seems increasingly dark and self-centered, the call for the church is urgent: We must be vessels of honor for the Lord to prepare the bride for the return of Jesus. As Kathryn Krick shared in a powerful interview with Ryan Miller, the key to this preparation is humility, surrender and a willingness to receive God’s power.
Jesus often hid His mysteries from the proud and revealed them to the humble and childlike. “The Pharisees have ears but cannot hear. They have eyes but they do not see,” Krick explained. “Pharisees have pride. Disciples are humble and childlike.”

“There’s a difference between skepticism and discernment,” Miller emphasized. “The pathway to discernment is to become childlike, and the Lord will give you spiritual eyes to see the counterfeits.”
Part of growing in this spiritual sensitivity includes understanding the three major areas God uses for His miraculous purposes.
1. God Uses the Weak and the Unqualified
Feeling unqualified, unspiritual or inadequate is not a limitation—it’s God’s perfect starting point. “God uses the weak and foolish things,” Krick said. “If you feel unqualified, you are in the perfect place to be. You are the most qualified by God because God can only use vessels who see themselves rightly: nothing without [Him].”
Even gifts that seem natural or talents that appear impressive are meaningless without surrender and anointing.
2. Preparing the Bride: Surrender and Action
The greatest preparation for Jesus’ return is not passive anticipation—it is active surrender and faithful service. As Krick and Miller point out, the church must be ready not only in heart but in action.
- Surrender Everything: Examine your life and yield all areas to God. Actual readiness comes when you let go of control and trust Him fully.
- Complete the Assignment: Be a vessel that demonstrates godly transformation, healing and salvation. God calls His people to be busy while there is time.
- Reject Judgment: Stop being judgmental toward others or toward God’s new work. Accept revival, new ministries and the anointing on others with humility.
- Be a Light That Attracts: Love, not condemnation, draws people to Christ. When operating in God’s power, the lost are drawn to Him, healed and set free.
As Jesus told His disciples, the question is not when He will return but whether His followers are ready to move in power and complete the work He has given them.
3. Meekness as Strength
Meekness in the end times is often misunderstood. It is not weakness; it is strength under submission. Miller explains:
The meek will inherit the earth…it’s not meek as a mouse, but meek as a mustang. It’s meek as a warhorse that will inherit the earth. He’s looking for those who have fully lost the operating system that they were currently under….and said, “It’s all Yours, Jesus.”
Those who let go of strategy, self-reliance and pride become vessels of God’s glory. Seasons of waiting, testing and refinement are preparing these believers for global impact.

The Power of God for Today
Finally, Krick issued a prophetic blessing over all who would receive it: healing, freedom and empowerment. “God is pouring out His Spirit for those who humble themselves. You will be changed forever as His power comes upon you. You will walk in authority, cast out demons, heal the sick and lead others to Christ. Revival will move through you in your family, community, city and nation.”
The end times are not just about waiting for Jesus—they are about preparing the bride through obedience, yielding and active engagement in God’s kingdom. The question is simple: Will you surrender, receive His power and shine as a light in the darkness?
