As Trump continues to seek out worldwide peace, there is a real question behind the prophetic implications of what this could mean. Global peace is something that we see mentioned in Scripture during the end times. Daniel 8 and 1 Thessalonians 5 reveal that when the world declares, “Peace and safety,” sudden destruction will come. The Antichrist will emerge as a global figure who seems to broker peace and unity, but his reign will ultimately deceive the nations. This reminds believers that while true peace is a virtue, lasting peace can only come through the Prince of Peace—Jesus Christ.

Though efforts toward peace may appear noble, the Bible cautions that only Christ’s return will bring genuine, eternal peace. Until then, Christians are called to stay alert, rooted in God’s Word and to fix their hope not on any earthly ruler—but on the coming King who alone can bring true peace to the nations.
