Joe Rogan and Elon Musk are uncovering what the future may look like as artificial intelligence increases and 3I/ATLAS hurdles its way toward Earth.
In a revealing conversation with Joe Rogan, Elon Musk painted a startling vision of the near future—one that could transform how humanity interacts with technology, information and even truth itself. According to Musk, the devices we now call smartphones are on the brink of obsolescence. Musk predicts, there will be no traditional phones, no apps, no operating systems. Instead, he believes AI will connect us with real-time video, music and content tailored to every desire or need.

Yet Musk’s vision was not purely celebratory. He warned of the danger of ideological bias embedded in AI. Musk highlighted how AI can be manipulated to produce outputs that prioritize ideology over truth. One startling illustration: when asked to generate images of historical figures, Google’s Gemini sometimes replaced them with diverse women, despite historical inaccuracy. In other cases, AI could be programmed to view misgendering as a greater threat than global catastrophe—a ludicrous inversion that Musk calls a “woke mind virus.”
“The AI knows it’s factually untrue, but it’s also being told that it has to be everything has to be diverse,” Musk explained. He likened this to giving AI a set of values that could lead to dystopian outcomes if left unchecked, stressing the need for AI to be maximally truth-seeking, trained to value reality over ideology.
Outside of AI, Musk also addressed the potential of alien life with Rogan. As discussions about the unknown 3I/ATLAS object continue to grow across the media, Musk promised Rogan that if he ever finds extraterrestrial life, he would make that announcement on his show.
“If I was aware of any evidence of aliens, Joe, you have my word, I will come on your show and I will reveal it on your show,” Musk said.
