Russell Brand is making it clear: We are no longer in a time to play around with Christianity.
At the latest Turning Point USA event at the University of Oklahoma, Brand gave a very clear and bold message when he was asked about how to respond to pastors who are trying to accommodate to everyone instead of sticking with the boldness and the truth of the gospel.

“There’s a revival happening,” says Brand. “This isn’t the time to be frightened. This is the time to no longer deny His holiness and His greatness.”
Brand also pointed to the reality the spiritual realm. If God is real, so is the adversary.
“Not only is Jesus Christ real, the devil is real,” Brand proclaims. “And the devil has his hands on the leaders of power, and we must be mindful of that. Technology changes the world real fast. There is an attempt to assert a centralization when it is clear that de-centralization is possible. Maximum sovereignty for the individual. We are made in His likeness…”

Brand further notes that while we must love others, we have to stand up against evil and darkness anywhere it is lurking.
“The culture is steeped in it,” Brand says of evil. “Be bold from the pulpit, be bold among your congregation.”
Brand has been very public about his transformation and salvation in Christ, documenting his baptism, his continued learning about Jesus Christ and even being publicly prayed over to carry out the Great Commission.
At a time when culture is increasingly hostile to the truth, Brand’s words serve as a powerful reminder that Christians cannot shrink back or compromise. We are called to stand boldly for the gospel, unafraid to confront sin, deception and the schemes of the enemy, while pointing people to the reality of Jesus Christ.
