Angel Studios’ new film, “David,” is set to follow the story of the young shepherd boy who boldly and courageously stands up for the Kingdom of Israel.

In a press release, Angel Studios announced the film’s upcoming release in theaters on Dec. 19, 2025.
“David is an animated film and television series based on the biblical story of the shepherd boy chosen to defeat Goliath and inspire his nation,” the release noted.
According to this release, the film is making historic milestones. “David is the largest audience-funded film in history,” CEO and co-founder of Angel Studios noted. “At a time when the world is craving hope, David’s unyielding courage and faith remind us all to stand tall, and I am profoundly grateful for the miracle of this moment.”
The newly released trailer and song from the film, “Follow the Light” features voice Phil Wickham and Brandon Engman.
This film could not come at a more perfect moment as mainstream entertainment for families continues to become polluted with demonic, LGBTQ inspired agendas. In a culture that is growing cold to morality, faith-based entertainment is critical.
