In 1989, prophetic minister Bob Jones released a word that is stirring fresh attention as it could mark the beginning of things happening in our day. Known for his visions and words of knowledge, Jones described a coming youth revival that would shake the church and sweep the nations.
In a video by Perry Stone, Stone read Jones’ prophecy, which he believes connects to the revival we see happening that has broken out largely due to Charlie Kirk’s assassination. In the prophecy, Jones began with a striking phrase: “The Lord gave me a vision. A shot heard around the world. It would start a revolution to bring liberty and new freedom to the church in America.”

That spiritual “shot,” Jones predicted, would ignite a generation. “Because of this shot heard around the world, the minute men would rise up. Young people would begin to set this nation free. They would go to the city and also the open fields where they meet together and have many different bands playing different types of music.”
The gatherings Jones foresaw were not about entertainment, but about anointed worship that would usher in salvation and awakening. “This music will touch people and will raise these men and men. They cannot be stopped for they will be youth with a vision and they will go throughout the world and it will bring forth the greatest harvest that has ever been known.”
One of the most staggering parts of Jones’ prophecy was the number of souls it encompassed. “It will begin the year of one billion youth coming to the Lord in the coming days which has already started. We will see the greatest harvest of all time taking place in America. It will be on the streets. It will be in the parks. It will be where every youth gather together for this music will reveal salvation and a new awakening to the presence of the Lord.”
Another intriguing part of this prophecy is that Jones said it would be the “year of the golden throats.” Not only has the term “golden age” been used multiple times to describe our current presidential administration, but Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck, his death igniting the fire of the Holy Spirit in many people.

Jones even gave the movement a prophetic name. “Years ago the world had their summer of love. Now get ready for Godstock. You ever heard of Woodstock? This is called Godstock.”
For Jones, this would be a generational outpouring unlike anything before. “What he is about to do is so far above our faith and our belief. There’s never been a time like this in history. So get ready for the church to get saved. Get ready for the songs of God to come in. He’s calling all ages to be involved.”
More than thirty years later, Jones’ word rings with fresh urgency: the youth are rising, the fields are filling, and “Godstock” may be closer than ever.
