Kay highlighted why he believes for our benefit Jesus will not reveal the exact timing of the rapture. He explained, “I believe the reason Jesus does not want us to know the exact date or hour is because of what happens when this kind of frenzy builds up about anticipating a particular date…people have sold their homes, there’s a lot of anxiety, things that are clearly not of God in terms of the comfort, the peace, the love, the joy that is reflective of God’s presence and his Holy Spirit.”

He also shared that his warnings are grounded in both Scripture and personal spiritual experiences. He recounted a near-death experience in which he says he journeyed to heaven for over 30 minutes, witnessing the sequence of end-time events. One of the clearest confirmations of what he saw is the growth of the church in regions such as Africa and China, along with increased persecution and revival.
While he acknowledged that speculation about dates is widespread, Kay encouraged believers to maintain focus on their relationship with God. “…the rapture is imminent,” he says. “It could happen at any moment which means that our hearts must be right with the Lord. That is we should be having conversations with the Holy Spirit. We should be understanding His Word. We should be steeped in His presence through prayer…”

Kay’s message serves as both a warning and an encouragement—rather than fixating on dates, he urges believers to cultivate peace, faith and intimacy with God. In his view, the true preparation for the rapture is not found in speculation but in daily surrender, prayer and living in the assurance that Christ’s return will come in God’s perfect timing.
