After President Trump met with Vladimir Putin on Friday in Alaska without coming to a peace ceasefire deal, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is now coming to the United States to meet with the president.
According to Fox News, later today Zelenskyy will discuss the land area of Kyiv with Trump as tensions between Russia and Ukraine continue to cause havoc. While Zelenskyy’s last meeting with President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance intensified, it is his hope that this one will be fruitful.

During an European Union Commission on Sunday, Zelenskyy said that “The constitution of Ukraine makes it impossible to give up territory or trade land.”
Even in the face of such obstacles, Trump is pressing forward in what many have called his effort to be a “peace president.” Time and again, he has emphasized his desire to bring calm and resolution among nations gripped by war. For believers, this pursuit echoes biblical principles of peacemaking.
In the prophetic realm, some see even greater significance unfolding. As Trump engages world leaders on the global stage, prophetic voice, Amanda Grace, pointed to Alaska the location of the U.S.-Russia summit—as a spiritual signpost.
“Alaska is shaking for a reason says the Lord. It is a warning of what is about to come,” Amanda Grace recounts in a prophetic word from July 18, 2025. The advance that shall be attempted, says the Lord, for leadership in Russia and Ukraine shall lose their seats in tandem.”
For Christians, this moment is more than just geopolitics—it may reflect God’s hand in raising up leaders to carry out His purposes in times of turmoil. Trump’s attempts to usher in peace align with the biblical call to seek reconciliation among the nations, even as Scripture warns of wars and rumors of wars in the last days.

Ultimately, whether or not this particular meeting leads to breakthrough, believers can be encouraged to pray for leaders, to intercede for peace in Ukraine and Russia, and to trust that God is working through these historic moments. Trump’s role may yet serve as a vessel for God’s purposes in bringing about both judgment and redemption in the earth.
