Many people often feel they don’t have enough time to spend with God amid the busyness of life, using this as a reason to skip daily moments of intimacy with Him. However, committing to even a short, focused time each day—15 or 30 minutes—can drastically change one’s productivity and spiritual fruitfulness.

In a powerful video with Katie Souza and Chris Garcia, the two detailed the significance of how beginning the day by in God’s presence opens the door for supernatural favor and efficiency.

“If we want to be fruitful in our bodies, in our jobs, in our finances, in our families, in our relationships, we just need to choose to first live in union with Him and make that our priority,” says Souza.

Without this connection with Christ, our efforts in our work, relationships and personal growth lack lasting impact. Many things in life—whether distractions, worries or spiritual attacks—act like choking vines or thorns that hinder growth. But when we remain united with Jesus, the true source of life, we are empowered to flourish.

“The reality of the gospel is that in Christ, you are intricately in union with Jesus,” says Garcia. “So, He wants to vicariously live and be fruitful through your being as you cling to Him.”

It’s important to realize that this union is not something to be earned or fought for. Scripture reveals that all things related to life and godliness have already been provided through Christ. Believers don’t have to strive to enter God’s presence—they are already in Him. The challenge is to awaken to that reality and live from that place of victory and abundance.

When believers cultivate intimacy with God in their spirit, it creates an overflow that renews the mind, aligns emotions and strengthens the will. This internal transformation manifests as peace, joy, self-control and other fruit of the Spirit.

Ultimately, believers are invited to rest in what Christ has already accomplished. Healing, provision and spiritual authority are not distant promises—they have already been secured. Our role is to walk in faith, yielding to God and declaring the reality of His provision rather than striving or waiting passively.

Prioritizing daily communion with Jesus is essential, not optional. It is the source of true strength, breakthrough and lasting fruitfulness in every area of life.
