Conservative commentator and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza used one of his latest podcast episodes to call out what he sees as deep double standards in American politics, media and culture — from redistricting battles in Texas to the political leanings of Ivy League institutions and late-night television hosts.

D’Souza opened with a discussion on the recent Texas redistricting controversy, accusing Democrats of weaponizing the process to maintain power while criticizing Republicans for doing the same. He argued that partisan outrage is often selective, depending on which side benefits from the changes. “The media pretends to be concerned about fairness,” D’Souza said, “but what they really mean is fairness that favors their team.”

The conversation then shifted to higher education. D’Souza claimed elite universities such as Harvard, Columbia and Dartmouth have engaged in behind-the-scenes maneuvering to protect their influence, even while publicly posturing as critics of Republican leadership. He accused these institutions of quietly cooperating with the Trump administration on certain issues, despite presenting themselves as staunch opponents.

From academia, D’Souza moved to the enduring Russia-collusion narrative. He argued that despite the collapse of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged collusion between Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia, many in media and politics still treat the story as if it were proven fact. “They won’t let it go because it’s useful,” D’Souza said, contending that the narrative has become a political weapon rather than an evidence-based claim.

In the second half of the program, D’Souza welcomed political commentator Raheem Kassam for a candid discussion on hypocrisy in the political and cultural arenas. Kassam, a frequent critic of the mainstream press, echoed D’Souza’s assessment of media bias. He said journalists and political operatives often work hand-in-hand to frame stories in ways that damage conservatives while shielding progressives from similar scrutiny.

The pair also turned their attention to the entertainment industry, particularly the evolution of late-night television. Once a space for broad, apolitical humor, D’Souza and Kassam argued it has transformed into an echo chamber for left-leaning political commentary. They singled out hosts who have embraced openly partisan messaging, suggesting it alienates large portions of the American audience.

Kassam pointed to the decline in ratings for some of these shows as evidence that viewers are growing weary of what he called “the lecture circuit in disguise.” D’Souza agreed, noting that the cultural influence of late-night TV may be waning as audiences seek alternatives online and through independent platforms.

Throughout the episode, D’Souza framed these issues as interconnected examples of a broader cultural imbalance. He maintained that whether in politics, education or entertainment, the same small group of elites controls the narrative, leveraging institutions to preserve influence while claiming moral high ground.

Closing the episode, D’Souza encouraged listeners to be vigilant in questioning media framing, political rhetoric and cultural messaging. “If we don’t challenge the hypocrisy,” he warned, “it becomes the accepted truth — and that’s when it’s most dangerous.”
